Experience Adventure and Comfort on the Water aboard the Poolster

Skipper Joska grew up on the water from a young age. Since his first day of life, he sailed with his parents on various sailing ships from Harlingen, and from the age of three, aboard the Poolster. At 19, he became a skipper and is now one with his ship.

A Robust Two-Masted 'klipper' with a Rich History

The Poolster was originally built in 1902 as a cargo sailing vessel and has been sailing with guests from Harlingen since 1991. This robust two-masted 'klipper' is an excellent sailing ship, on which you can roll up your sleeves and actively participate. Of course, there’s also plenty of room to relax, with a seating area on deck and bean bags for daydreaming.

Cosy Gathering in the Lounge and Open Kitchen of the Poolster

The ship has a cosy lounge where you can eat, relax, or enjoy a drink together. The open kitchen is located within the lounge and is fully equipped to prepare delicious meals. The galley includes a 6-burner gas stove, a large oven, a spacious fridge with a large freezer, a beer tap system, and a coffee machine (with filter).

Comfortable Cabins and Well-Maintained Sanitary Facilities

The cabins aboard the Poolster are comfortable, each equipped with bunk beds, a sink, and 220-volt outlets. There are nine 2-person cabins, two 4-person cabins, and two 3- to 4-person cabins, each with a French bed. The shared sanitary facilities consist of three showers and three toilets.

Discover the Most Beautiful Spots on Dutch Waters with Skipper Joska

Joska is happy to share his experience and will take you to the most beautiful spots, such as the Wadden Sea, IJsselmeer, and the Frisian waters. During the trips, he is open to your wishes and ideas. Sailing experience is not required, as the skipper will guide you and explain everything you need to know on board.

Come aboard the Poolster and experience a mix of adventure and camaraderie on a sailing trip you won’t soon forget!
