The Storebælt: A Comfortable Sailing Ship with a Rich History
The Storebælt, built in 1928, is a former sea-going vessel with plenty of comfort and a fascinating history. The ship, which even played a role in the Normandy Invasion, offers an adventurous and hands-on sailing experience. With 420 m² of sail, there's plenty of activity for those who enjoy sailing!
On Deck of the Storebælt
The Storebælt boasts ample deck space and seating. From the seating area on the aft deck, you'll always have a wide view of the surrounding waters. On the middle deck, picnic tables provide a pleasant spot for meals. From here, you can enter the bar and walk through to the comfortable day room. The Storebælt is a wide vessel, providing not only plenty of space but also stability on the water, ensuring you don’t have to worry about seasickness.

At the back of the ship, you'll find the salon with a cozy round seating area. On the back wall, a large painting adds to the atmosphere. The salon connects to the well-equipped open galley. On deck, there's a bar where you can relax in the former wheelhouse, enjoy a drink, and still feel connected to the sailing experience in the comfort of the indoors.
Comfortable Cabins Below Deck
Below deck, you'll find the cabins, each equipped with central heating and running water. The beds come with sheets and pillows, and for an additional €18, you can rent a duvet (please request in advance). The ship offers 13 cabins in total, including ten double cabins (four of which have twin beds) and three 4-person cabins. In total, the ship has 32 beds.
A Sauna on Board of the Storebælt
Also, below deck, the ship features four showers and three toilets. After a day of sailing, relax and warm up in the onboard sauna to soothe your muscles!
